Common Name The Elliptical Leaf Pleurothallis

Flower Size .2" [5mm]

Found in Costa Rica and western Panama in wet forests at elevations of sea level to 350 meters meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with erect, stout, terete ramicauls enveloped on the lower quarter by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute to obtuse, broadly cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the late summer through winter on a distichous, .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] overall, rachis, .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] long, simultaneously several flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe.
