Found in Panama as an epiphyte on mossy limbs at elevations around 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to a single, globose to ovate, green with white reticulation, apiculate, abruptly narrowing below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter, spring and summer on an erect, [6mm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a bract at the base and a tubular, acuminate floral bract carrying a giant flower.
