Found in Ecuador at elevations of 2400 to 2450 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by a long tubular sheath and 2 t o3 others at the abse and carrying a single, apcial, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute to obtuse, cuneate below into the petiollate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a fascile of .2" [5 mm] long, successively single flowered inflorescence arising through a narrow spathe at the apex of the ramicaul
