Found in Brazil at elevations of 950 to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to erect ramicauls enveloped by a single, orange brown sheath and carrying a single, apical, erect, yellow green, narrowly obovate, almost linear, faintly conduplicate, narrowing below into the base leaf that blooms in the spring through fall on 1 to 2, longer than the leaf, 4 to 8" [10 to 12 cm] long, apical, racemose, 2 to 7 flowered inflorescence that has the flowers opening mostly simultaneously.
Said to be a synonym of Pleurothallis linearifolia and has many similaritites to , but at this time I will leave them separate.
