Common Name The Tooth-Petaled Pleurothallis
Flower Size 1/5" [5mm]
found in Central Costa Rica at elevations of 900 to 1500 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect, ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 tubular sheaths carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, ovate, acute leaf that has a broadly cuneate, sessile base that blooms in the fall and winter on a sublax to congested, distichous, arching, simultaneously many flowered, 4" to 8" [10 to 20 cm cm] long inflorescence arising from a reclining spathe and having thin, infundibular floral bracts.
