Common Name The Downward Running Pleurothallis

Flower Size .8" [2 cm] tall

Found in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador in wet montane forests at elevations of 1150 to 2800 meters as a to small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with elongate, slender, terete, stiff pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 2 tubular, scarious sheaths, with a single, apical, elliptic, subamplexicaule, acuminate, coriaceous, dark green leaf that blooms in the winter on a fascile of short [to 3 cm], racemose, few [2 to 4] flowered inflorescence arising from a small spathe, and lays laxly upon the upper leaf surface.
