Found in Zamora Chinchipe Ecuador at elevations around 1400 meters as a miniature to just small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls with a tubular sheath below the middle and 2 to 3 others at the base and carrying a single, erect, thinly coriaceous, elliptical, acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late fall on a weak, slender, more or less arcuate to drooping, 3.4" [8.5 cm] long, simultaneously several flowered inflorescence arising from a 1.6" [4 cm] long, spathe at the base of the leaf with an oblique, infundibular, acute floral bract.
