Found in Bahia Brazil at elevations below 100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with suberect, very short, cylindrical ramicauls enveloped by a tubular sheath and carrying a single, apical, erect, thick fleshy, elliptical, rounded and minutely tridenticulate apically, lightly purple speckled beneath, cuneate below into the pseudo-petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, fractiflex, .8 to 2" [2 to 2.5 cm] long, loose, successively single, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe at the apex of the ramicaul with a glabrous floral bract
