Found in Chiriqui department of Panama at elevations around 1700 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a erect, terete ramicaul enveloped by 4 to 6 loose, ribbed tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute to acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a verrucose, .2" [5 mm] long, 2 to 5 flowered inflorescence arising from a node below the abscission layer
