Found in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama in elfin forests at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with terete ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 inflated, scarious sheaths and carrying a single, apical, elliptic, coriaceous, dark green, tridenticulate apically leaf that is cuneate basally and blooms at most any time of the year on an erect, racemose, 12" [30 cm] long, laxly several flowered inflorescence.
