Found in Huanuco department Peru and La Paz department of Bolivia at elevations around 1200 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with ascending to erect, stout, more or less compressed and sulcate above ramicauls enveloped bya tubular sheath below the middle and 2 to 3 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, subacute, cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the fall on a congested, distichous, .6" [1.5 cm] long including the .2" [5 mm] long peduncle, simultaneously 2 to 4 flowered inflorescencebourne at the base of the leaf with a thin minutely pubescent floral bract.
