Found in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama at elevations of 1000 to 2000 meters as a miniature to just medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls naked or with 1 to 2, basal sheaths with 2 to 3, narrow, but prominent wings and carrying a single, apical, fleshy, elliptic-lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, cordate below into the base leaf that blooms in the winter through summer on 1 to 2, to 2" [5 cm] long, shorter than the leaf, distichous, racemose, few to 8 flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe
