Common Name or Meaning The Chontal Pleurothallis [A department of Nicaragua]

Found in Nicaragua and Costa Rica at elevations around 500 to 600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with short, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, erect, coriaceous, elliptical-obovate, obtuse to rounded, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a very congested, more or less fasciculate, 1.2 to 1.28" [3 to 3.2 cm] long, successively single, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence arising from the apex of the ramicaul, with imbricating floral bracts.
This species is part of the Pleurothallis glandulosa Group made up of P vittarifolia, P alajuelensis and P gersonii
