Found in Espirito Santo State of Brazil at elevations around 850 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by a thin, tubular sheath and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, elliptical-obovate, obtuse, broadly cuneate below into the sub petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late fall on a congested, .6" [1.5 cm] long, successively single, few flowered inflorescence arising laterally from the ramicaul
