Found in Sao Paulo Brazil in wet primary, but open forests at elevations of 800 to 900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect ramcauls enveloped by 3 trumpet-shaped, close, recurved, hairy margined, purple lined sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, broadly lanceolate, dark olive green, stiff, indistinctly conduplicate, attenuate below into the pseudo-petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer and early fall on a 1.4” [3.5 cm] long, elongating, fractiflex, first flower at leaf height, successively single to occasionally 2, alternately 3 to 6 flowered inflorescence
