Found in Bolivia at elevations of 600 to 2450 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with ascending-erect, terete ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 basal, close, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, elliptical, subconduplicate, acute to subacute, cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the late spring and summer on an erect, distichous, compressed, 2 to 2.8" [5 to 7 cm] long, simultaneously few flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe at the base of the leaf and has narowly acute, conduplicate floral bracts.
