Common Name The Two Eared Pleurothallis [refers to the two lobed lip]

Found in Choco' department of Colombia at elevations of 1900 to 2500 meters as a small to medium szied, cold growing epiphyte with stout, erect, compressed above ramicauls with a tubular sheath near the middle and 2 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical-ovate, acute, suneate to rounded below into the sessile base laf that blooms in the winter and summer on 1 to 2, erect, congested, 6 to 8" [15 to 20 cm] long, including the .8 to 2" [2 to 5 cm] long, peduncle, simultaneously many flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe and has tubular floral bracts.

Characterized by the densely, caespitose plants with ramicauls that are compresssed above the middle becoming sharp approaching the leaf connection. The flowers are similar to others but the petals slightly thicken towards the apex, and the lateral lobes of the lip are much larger and concave.
