Common Name The Rough Lip Pleurothallis [refers to the brushlike tuft of hairs at the apex of the leaf]

Found in Colombia and Ecuador in cloud forests at elevations of 750 to 800 meters as a miniature sized, deciduous leafed, warm growing epiphyte with slender, erect, ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical-linear, acute leaf with a narrowly cuneate base that blooms at any time of the year on a fascile of successively single flowered, 2/5" [1.2 cm] long inflorescence arising from a spathe.
