Found in Chiriqui Panama in cloud forests at elevations around 1700 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by a thin, tubular sheath below the middle and 2 to 3 others above the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, thinly coriaceous, suberect, ovate, acute, rounded to shallowly cordate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the winter on a fascile of .6 to 1" [1.5 to 2.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe at the base of the leaf.
