Common Name or Meaning The Double Edged Pleurothallis [refers to the compressed ramicaul]

Found in Colombia and Ecuador at elevations around 1400 to 2200 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with stout, erect, sharply ancipitous ramicauls with a thin tubular sheath above the base and 2 others at the base and carrying a single, coriaceous, erect, ovate to narrowly ovate, acute, cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the fall on a fascicle of solitary, successive flowers borne from a reclining, .2 to .4" [5 to 10 mm] long, spathe at the apex of the ramicaul.
