Found in southeastern and southern Brazil in primary fprests on trunks, lianas and low tree branches at elevations of 100 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 5, membraneous, green to brown tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly lanceolate, dark green, faintly conduplicate, infolded and finely attenuated to the base leaf that blooms in the mid winter through early fall on up to 4 at once, .4" [1 cm] long, to 8 consecutive flowered inflorescence
