Common Name The Very Small Platystele [refers to the plant size]

Flower Size .2" [5mm]

Found in Costa Rica and Panama at elevations of 1300 to 1450 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 thin, loose, imbricating sheaths and carrying an erect, coriaceous, narrowly obovate, subacute, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, distichous, filiform, to 1.8" [4.5 cm] long overall, rachis .8 to 1" [2 to 2.5 cm] long, loose, distichous, simutaneously opening, several flowered inflorescence.
