Found in Zamora-Chinchipe province of Ecuador in wet montane forests at elevations around 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect, ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3, thin, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, subacute leaf that is narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base and blooms in the early summer on an erect, loose, distichous, flexuous, filiform, 1.6" [3.5 cm] long including the .8" [2 cm] long peduncle, successively few flowered inflorescence arising from lowe on the ramicaul.
