Found in Pichincha province of Ecuador in montane cloud forests at elevations around 1650 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender, ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3, thin, ribbed, imbricating sheaths and carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical-obovate, subacute leaf that is narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base and blooms in the late winter through fall on a weak, loose, suberect, distichous, flexuous, filiform, 5.2" [13 cm] long including the .6 to 1.2" [1.5 to 3 cm] long peduncle, successively many flowered, racemose inflorescence arising laterally from high on the ramicaul with thin floral bracts.
