Found in Colombia and Ecuador in extremely wet montane cloud forests at elevations around 600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with very short ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3, thin, ribbed, imbricatingf sheaths and carrying a single apical, lanceolate-elliptic, obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later summer on an erect, loose, distichous, flexuous, 1.4" [3.5 cm] long including the .4" [1 cm] long slender peduncle, successively single flowered inflorescence arising laterally from the ramicaul with thin floral bracts.
