Found in Antioquia department of Colombia without collection data as a large to giant sized, long, scandent epiphyte that resembles a small bamboo with slender, erect, prolific, 1.2 to 7.2" [3 to 18 cm] long ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 9, tubular, minutely hispidulous sheaths and carrying an erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical-ovate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and fall on a very short at the apex of the ramicaul, single flowered inflorescence with tubular, pubescent floral bracts that enclose the pedicel.
