Found in Colombia without locality as a small sized epiphyte with erect, stout, ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 close, thin tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a stout, terete, erect, 10.6" [27 cm] long, loose, simultaneously opening, several flowered, racamose inflorescence arising from the base of the ramicaul, with a bract near the middle and at the base and thin, tubular floral bracts.
