Common Name Karine's Masdevallia [Daughter of Peruvian Orchid Enthusiast current]
Flower Size .8" [2 cm]
Found in the department of Cuzco Peru in cold wet cloud forests at elevations around 2750 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a slender, erect ramicaul enveloped by a loose tubular sheath and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptic, subacute, narrowly cuneate below into theelongate petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on an erect, 2.2" [5.5 cm] long, single flowered infloresccence arising from low on the ramicaul with a bract above the base
