Common Name Ingrid's Masdevallia [Senora Portilla Orchid Nurserywoman Current]

Flower Size 1.2" [3 cm]

Found in southern Ecuador at elevations around 1000 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm growing epiphyte with slender, erect, ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly obovate, obtuse, cuneate basally into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on a erect, slender, triquetrous, racemose, singly successively few flowered 6 to 7" [15 to 17.5 cm] long inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with tubular, imbricating floral bracts.
