Found in Costa Rica in very wet and pluvial forests at elevations around 800 to 1200 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with pseudobulbs carrying 2, ovate, shortly acuminate, petiolate base, clasping leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a terminal, erect, .6 to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm] long, subumbellate, many flowered inflorescence carrying pale green with chestnut, resupinate flowers.
