Common Name Moritz' Malaxis [German Orchid Collector in Venezuela later 1800's]

Found in Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador at elevations of 1100 to 2075 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing terrestrial with elliptic-ovate pseudopbulbs carrying 2, ventrally shiny, dorsally greyer and rather dull, mid nreve su;cate, dorsally ribbed, broadly elliptic, acute to acuminate leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, peduncle to 6.8" [17 cm] long, angled, rachis short, spirally arranged, subumbellate, many flowered inflorescence with pale, lanceolate, triangular to triangular-ovate, acuminate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying very small green flowers.
