Common Name John's Malaxis [Original Collector of species early 1900's]

Found in northern Venezuela at elevations around 1000 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a single, erect-patent, ovate top ovate-elliptic, obtuse, entire margin, cuneate below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, peduncle, terete, to 6" [15 cm] long, rachis thickened, .6 to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm] long, subumbellate, densely many flowered inflorescence.
