Common Name The Awl-Shaped Lepanthes [refers to the apex of the leaf]

Found in Antioquia department of Colombia at elevations around 1850 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with suberect, very slender ramicauls enveloped by 7 to 11, thin, close, microscopically scabrous lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect to suberect, thinly coriaceous, reticulate, elliptical-ovate, acute, contrated apically into a linear segment, tridenticulate, middle tooth longest, broadly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter and spring on a, filiform, very congested, .64 to 1” [1.4 to 2.5 cm] long including the .24 to .68” [6 to 17 mm] long peduncle, successively many flowered inflorescence arising on the top of the leaf
