Found in Oaxaca state of Mexico as a branch epiphyte in perrenial forests at elevations around 2000 to 2300 meters as mini-miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 4 lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, elliptic, acute, dark green above and purple spotted beneath leaf that blooms in the spring on a shorter than the leaf, successively 1 at a time, few flowered inflorescence.
