Found in Antioquia department of Colombia at elevations around 1730 to 2100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphtye with suberect, very slender stems enveloped completely by 6 to 9, close, glabrous except for the microscopically ciliate ostia, lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, suberect, thinly coriaceous, intensely reticulate with purple on green, narrowly ovate, acute, acuminate, tridenticulate, cuneate below into the base leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on a congested, distichous, .8" [2 cm] long including the .32" [8 mm] long peduncle, successively several flowered inflorescence arising on top of the leaf
