Found in Panama in cloud forests at elevations around 900 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte, with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 4 to 5, dark brown, microscopically ciliate, lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, erect, coriaceous, suborbicular, rounded apically, rounded and contracted below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter on a filiform, congested, distichous, .32" [8 mm] long, successively single, few flowered inflorescence arising on the back of the leaf with muricate floral bracts.
