Found in Colombia and Ecuador in montane forests and riversides at elevations around 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by around 5 to 7, lepanthiform sheaths with microscopically scabrous, ribbed, shortly ciliate ostia and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptic-oblong to elliptic-ovate, subacute to obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall through winter on a, dense, .56" [1.4 cm] long, 2 ranked, simultaneously several flowered inflorescence.
