Common Name The Short Lipped Habenaria

Found in southwestern Mexico in humid oak forests at elevations around 1600 to 1950 meters as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial or epiphyte with a glabrous, leafy stem carrying lanceolate, to oblong-lanceolate, acute, grading smaller above, arising from loose sheaths below leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, cylindrical, 2.8 to 4" [7 to 10 cm] long, 10 to 20 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, acute bracts.
