Common Name Pollard's Encyclia [Mexican Orchid Enthusiast 20th cen]
Flower Size 1.2" [3 cm]
Found in Mexico in the states of Nayarit, Jalisco and Michoacan at elevations of 1000 to 1400 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with clustered, large, conic-ovoid pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3 apical, elliptic-ligulate, obtuse leaves that blooms in the later spring on a terminal, paniculate, 12 to 24" [30 to 60 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence.
