Found in Bahia Brazil in wet montane forests at elevations of 850 to 990 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with erect, clustered, elongate, ovoid pseudobulbs enveloped basally by evanescent, scarious sheaths and carrying 3, narrowly lanceolate leaves that blooms in the summer on 1 to 2, terminal, erect, weakly branched, peduncle to 21.6" [to 54 cm] long, rachis to 12" [30 cm] long, to 7 flowered inflorescence with deltoid floral bracts.
