Found in Bahia state of Brazil on rocks at elevations around 800 to 850 meters as a medium sized, warm growing lithophyte with elongate, ovate pseudobulbs carrying thick, rigid, erect, mid-green leaves and blooms in the late spring and early summer on a to 32" [ 80 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with strongly scented flowers
Often cited as a synonym of E pachyantha but I will leave them separate for now.
