Common Name The Different Colored Elleanthus

Flower Size .2" [5 mm]

Found in Nicaragua, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru at elevations of 500 to 1650 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with stout, thick, leafy above stems carrying thin, plicate, purplish underneath, elliptic, shortly acuminate leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, 3.2" [8 cm] long, spicate, densely many flowered, racemose inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, acute to acuminate, striate, decreasing in size upwards floral bracts.
