Common Name The Velvety Dracula

Flower Size 1.2" to 2.4" [3 x 6 cm]

Found in Antioquia department of Colombia in cloud forests as a small to just medium sized, cold to cool growing epiphyte with erect, stout ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 loose, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, thinly coriaceous, carinate, narrowly elliptical-linear, acute, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate base leaf that blooms in the winter, spring and fall on multiple, 3 to 4" [7.5 to 10 cm] long, successively single, few [2] flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul.

Found in Colombia as a cold to cool growing epiphyte that blooms on multiple, 3 to 4" [7,5 to 10 cm] long, few [2] flowered inflorescence occuirng in the spring and summer. This is a rare yellow form of the species.
