Common Name The Pug-Like Dracula
Flower Size 1/2” [1.25 cm]
Found in southern Ecuador in montane cloud forests at elevations of 400 to 1500 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with a very short ramicaul enveloped basally by 2 to 3 acuminate, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly elliptic, conduplicate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter through summer in situ on a pendant, to 6” [15 cm] long, bracteate, successively 1, 2 flowered inflorescence that arises from the base of the ramicaul.
