Common Name Janet's Dracula [refers to Mrs Kuhn, Discoverer of species]

Found in Ecuador? and Peru at elevations around 1700 meters as a miniature to just small sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 loose, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, thinly coriaceous, carinate, narrowly elliptical, acute, gradually narrowing below into the channeled petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a purple, horizontal to descending, successively few flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul and carrying a tubular floral bract.
