Found in Choco' and Valle de Cauca departments of Colombia in tropical dry forests at elevations of 900 to 1000 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a suberect to arcuate base, somewhat flexuous, pseudobulbous stem carrying alternate, linear-lanceolate, obtuse to somewhat unequally bilobed apex leaves that blooms in the late spring through fall on a fasciculate, successive, short, few flowered inflorescence with ovate-cucullate, acute floral bracts.
