Found in Colombia,Venezuela, Guyana and northern Brazil at elevations of sealevel to 100 to 200 meters in rainforests, open savannahs and low open scrub as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with fusiform, grooved pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly elliptic, acute leaf that blooms on an erect becoming geniculate, several flowered infloresccence
