Found in Espirito Santo Brazil in forests at elevations around 1200 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with slender, indistinctly triquetrous above the middle, erect ramicauls enveloped by a close fitting, tubular sheath on the middle third and 1 to 2 more at the base and carrying a single,a pcail, erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical, subacute to acute, narrowly cuneate below into the base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, subcongested, 4 to 5.2" [10 to 13 cm] long, distichous, several flowered inflorescence arising from the base of the leaf through a spathe.
