Found in southern Peru at elevations of 2100 to 2600 meters as a medium sized, cold growing lithophyte with spindle shaped, glossy pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical leaves that blooms in the later summer on a terminal, erect, racemose, to 5 flowered inflorescence with non-resupinate flowers
